As the weather was so beautiful, we spent plenty of therapeutic time out in the allotment. This time in nature is so important for the health and mental wellbeing of our families, not to mention it is so much fun for the children to get their hands dirty to grow home produce!
Maxine Cannell and the team at Herongrange organised the Rutland Charity Walk this month. They walked a staggering 17 miles in 6 ½ hours in varied terrain and conditions to raise over £1,000 for the charity. Jack the dog also came along for the journey, providing much-needed moral support during those last difficult miles! We are very proud of your achievement and thank you for raising awareness for NC TLC Trust.
We would like to inform all of our supporters and the community that we have a new Trustee, Michelle Barrow, on board to help with running the charity. Michelle has already been putting in an immense amount of effort with the Fantasy Trip for our families and has been getting stuck in with various daily tasks. We are so happy to have you with us Michelle!
The NC TLC Trust is also delighted to announce that Steve Pateman, The Kinky Boot Man, will be coming on board as our national Ambassador. Being local, Steve knows what a tremendous difference his support means to the work we do. We are very grateful, not to mention excited, to have Steve as a voice for our charity! Thank you Steve!
This month, we need to say a tremendous thank you to all of our wonderful supporters. Without all of you, we would not be able to carry on doing our work with some truly amazing children and their families.
We would like to thank Julian Witts-Hunt and the entire team at CarShop for their ongoing support. Your donations of £341.65 and £344.09 are very much appreciated!
We would like to thank Karli Lewis for the astounding donation of £10,000 in memory of Theresa Hogan. It is thanks to people like you that we can provide important funds for the care and respite of our warrior children. With this donation, we will be providing a wonderful getaway for our families to North Cadbury Court in Yeovil, Somerset. There, the children will enjoy a variety of activities, swimming, disco and entertainment. It is bound to be a fun-filled weekend, with a little rest and a lot of excitement for our children.
Thank you to Gillian Lake and the 3rd Brickhill Guides for supporting the NC TLC Trust by providing tents for a camping weekend away for our families at Hardwick Park in July.
We would like to thank Barbara Humphrey and Mr Conaway for donating lots of handmade cards for our charity. This is greatly appreciated!
Thank you to our supporters Peter Williams and the StEAT Food team, for raising £1,000 towards Miss A’s costs during her treatment in Jacksonville, Florida. We would also like to thank Woodford Halse Sports and Community Club for raising £850.00 via a charity quiz night and tombola, towards the same wonderful cause.
We would like to send a big thank you to Tracey Mander and team at Nationwide for the fantastic donation of £376.73. We appreciate all you are doing for us!
Kate Gaunt and the people at Loving Hands have been supporting NC TLC Trust by providing handmade hickman line bags for our brave kids. Thank you so very much for all of the kind work you have been doing. The children love the bags!
We would like to send out a huge thank you to Harriet Oliver and the students at the National Citizen’s Service for raising £630.00 and creating some beautiful buddy boxes, which have toiletries for families rushed into hospital.
Thank you to Laura Bearan-Scott and the team at Overstone Golf Club for Gary’s Hair Shave fundraiser, which raised an amazing £503.00 for the charity.
It is also with huge thanks to Greg Hayes and the Nationwide Banking Team for coming to our office for the day to help organise us, clean the stock cupboard, gift wrap, sort the offices, cut grass and clear. We appreciate all of your very hard work!
