As autumn has settled in, things have really picked up pace at NC TLC Trust. Every year, when the evenings become darker and the air fresh and cool, we host our Annual Oscars Ball to thank all of our wonderful supporters, donors and families who have helped to shape our charity into what it is today. We truly cannot complete our vital work for children and their families without you all, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts for attending and making the night so notable.
The event was truly special for us at the NC TLC, because we are celebrating our 10th anniversary! The evening was very glamorous and reminiscent of an old Hollywood movie. The suite at the Park Inn Radisson was transformed into a bower of gold, black and white, in the style of early 1930s Art Deco. Though everyone dressed to impress on the evening, our little warriors took centre stage, making the night one to remember.
The night of our Annual Ball was also when we officially announced to all of our supporters, donors and families that Steve Pateman, The Kinky Boots Man and author of The Boss, is coming on board as the charity’s Ambassador. To add a little spice to this incredible announcement, Steve made an appearance in his signature red boots with Janet to ‘These Boots Were Made for Walking’. Thank you Steve!
We have so many thank yous to issue, but we would truly like to thank all of our amazing supporters for ten fantastic years. Whether a large scale event, a run, a toy drive or a bake sale, every donation has made a difference to where we are today. Thank you!
We would like to thank our winner of our highly commended trophy, the CarShop Northampton, for their incredible support and donations over the last two years. You have been instrumental in helping our children’s dreams come true.
A huge thank you goes out to our friends at Wollaston BMW, David Glover and the Chairman of BMW, Terence G. Bramall for raising an astounding £ 4094.88 at their charity Golf Event this summer. We appreciate your support and enthusiasm for the charity and our mission to make serious ill children and their families smile!
Congratulations and a massive thank you to Ambivent and Glenn Nightingale, winner of our Cpl Marc Birch Memorial Trophy, for being a continuous supporter to the charity. Your generosity over the years means so much!
We would also like to offer congratulations and thanks to the Hogan family, winners of the Oliver Burton Memorial Trophy, who have funded our fantasy trip this year. Our families are looking forward to their break!
Congratulations and our biggest thanks go to The Prudential Riders, Team Daisy, winners of our Hard Work and Determination Trophy. Your perseverance throughout the race was admirable. Thank you!
Our thanks also go out to Mr Chris Clements who donated £100.00 towards our trophies for all of our well-deserved winners and for our little warriors, princesses and their siblings. You brought tears of joy to so many at our Ball; thank you so much for making the night so remarkable for us.
What’s next for the NC TLC? We are taking our children on our annual Christmas Fantasy Trip to North Cadbury Court in Yeovil, Somerset. It should be a weekend that is filled with fun-filled and exciting time for all of our children and their families.
