Newsletter November 2017

Another very exciting month for NC TLC Towers, growing bigger and bigger as the months pass us by, we would like to start our PR piece by saying a huge thank you to everyone involved in helping us to be able to continue doing what we do, as we are going from strength to strength.

Thank you to The Old Swan, Earls Barton for hosting the 80’s Fancy Dress disco in September who raised £255.71. Nationwide team Karen Burge, Ashley, Steven, Charlie, Rebecca, Chloe and Sean came into the office to help with present wrapping and making all important phone calls to local companies, Ashley has also agreed to be an Ambassador for the charity Facebook page to help promote the charity further. Thank you also to Andrew, Luke, Elizabeth, Ethan, Kataya, Sharon, Sharon, Lee, Joe, Sam, Louise and Georgina for spending time with us to make phone calls, send letters and emails for support and donations for our Ball, also from Nationwide. The guys from Karen’s team also did a random collection before coming to the charity offices and gave us a cheque for £56.88.

Northampton Eighty Lions held a Golf Tournament to raise money for the charity and raised a total of £1200, these funds have been restricted for the family wellbeing program.

Last month we published an item with regards to a family who was given £1475 for quality time with their son who has a terminal diagnosis, we failed to mention that the money was that raised by the Co-op Community funding, so thank you to all those who made it possible for us to send the young man away with his family. We will have pictures to share but respect the family’s privacy at this difficult time.

Thank you also goes to Renee Haines for donating handmade T-Lights and Fairy Houses. Chameleon Hair design for donating beauty products to replace the vouchers that were stolen during the burglary. Thank you also to Tony and Neil for their fantastic efforts riding the 5 peaks challenge and smashing their target, raising £5400.

Wollaston BMW took part in the Northampton Half Marathon, which was part of several fundraising events to help take our warriors to Disneyland Paris. Whilst we are on the subject of Disneyland Paris, it is with great joy that we have been able to book the trip for the families and went on our travels across the country to deliver the Golden Tickets, the reactions were amazing and these can be seen on our Facebook page. Please feel free to share and like.

BNI Chapter –Duncan Webster, Sponsored our Charity Membership – Thank you for welcoming us.
