And here we are, another month gone by with lots going on. Over the past month NC TLC Trust have been working hard on their new look website, this will hopefully be up and running soon if not by the time you read this.
You may remember last month we announced that we had 3 riders for the London – Surrey 100 and we had one more place to fill, well we did it, thanks to Gary Saville who is pleased to have taken up this challenge, as are the other riders.
2 very kind gentlemen Tony Clarke and Neil Holman contacted the charity at the beginning of February asking if we would be happy for them to raise some money for the us, Tony and Neil will be raising money for both us and Hope for Cancer in Market Harborough. Their challenge is to ride Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Wales and back to England, they are hoping and I am sure will be successful in completing the ride over 9 days.
The ride will start on the 10th September 2017 and we want to wish them both the best of luck in their training and planning up to the event. We will update you all with the outcome of the event once they have completed it.
White Collar Boxing are holding another event for NC TLC Trust on 28th May at the Barratts Snooker Club, for tickets and more information then please go to our Facebook page or contact them direct on 01604 809174 / 07946 860762.
We would like to thank Landrover Experience for donating 2 Landrover experience vouchers to the value of £450 per voucher. These will be used at one of the charity events later in the year.
Further thanks goes to Wollaston BMW for the 2 collection pots that they and their customers filled with a grand total of £187.86.
Thank you, Mrs K. McDonald, for the cheque from your late mother Josephine Rolfe, passed to us via Ann Bonham and Son funeral directors for £111.65.
Beth Collins from The Creative Cupcake Company has told the charity that she would love to support us in the great work we do for the children and their families, Beth has kindly agreed to donate 1 cake per month to the value of £50. Our first charity child received their cake at the beginning of March and was overjoyed with the beautiful steam train theme.
As you may or may not know NC TLC Trust have a caravan that our charity families use for much needed breaks throughout the year, we found that the boiler had ceased working but Colin & Nicky Young of Caravan Services spent time trying to source the parts to get the boiler up and running again, ready for our families to use. We would like to say ‘Thank You’ to Colin for the running around, time spent and the low price that he charged us, even though it wasn’t a straight forward process.
Should you wish to contact the office for further information, please call 01604 811025 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We are always looking for people who would like to help us.
