Our family fun days go on at different times of the year, with days out at the local village carnival, discos, fundraising events, day trips and Christmas fantasy trips, to name a few. With the valuable donations from many companies and individuals, we are able to offer families trips to remember, with shared experiences and support through the network of our families – including those ongoing treatment and those in remission.
One of our families said:
“NCTLC trust gave us as a family a very special time in Skegness last Christmas time. Having spent 3 of my sons young lives in hospital at Christmas we are trying to make up for the rubbish Christmas we had and our trip to Skegness certainly did that and we are eternally great full for it. We know how hard it is keeping a family together when one child is suffering from a potentially life-threatening illness. You need to be a family as well, for the sake of the siblings. It’s really difficult, especially when you are going through the treatment. We never knew when we would end up in the hospital, we always had a bag packed ready to go. You forget how to be a couple and you end up tired and wrapped up in all the emotion, but you keep on going, with the help and support of those closest to you.”
Please be aware that Family days are subject to change at short notice.
