The weather is heating up and so are things at the NC TLC Trust. We have been undergoing lots of preparations for the new caravan season about to start. Last year, we purchased a new charity caravan called ‘The Beach Retreat’ in Mablethorpe, thanks to the Birch family raising the funds we needed to give the families some much needed respite, in memory of Cpl Marc Birch. We have been working on updating the information for our families about this new caravan and getting it up and running for our families in the next few weeks. Many of our families have chosen to use the caravan over the April Half Term holiday for some quality time together in between treatments.
We would like to thank Liam Warren and the members of Rough and Ready Gym for hosting ‘White Collar Boxing’s Unleash the Beast’. Proceeds from the charity boxing night totalled £500.00 for the NC TLC Trust. We are incredibly grateful to the amazing boxers who participated in the event. A big thank you also goes out to our patron Derek Redmond for coming to support the event. It was certainly a night to remember!
A huge thank you goes out to George Wright of Caring Kindergartens for your donation of £230.00 towards our warriors and princesses. Your generosity makes all the difference!
We would also like to issue a big thank you to Mr and Mrs Simmons for your kind donation of £1500.00 at Christmas time. We truly appreciate your kindness and support!
The fundraiser for our marathon runner Ricardo Malvaez is well under way. He will be running the London Marathon on the 28th of April and will be hosting a charity disco on the 10th of May to raise funds for the NC TLC Trust. There is still time to donate and help him reach his goal of raising £2000.00 for the NC TLC Trust. Please visit uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RicardoMalvaez1 to donate to our runner. We would like to thank those who have already generously donated to Rico’s run and to the NC TLC!
We have some other amazing events coming your way! The Rotary Club of Rushden Chichele is hosting FunFest on the 19th of May. The fun starts at noon at Rushden and Higham RUFC and will include vendors, stalls, children’s events and It’s A Knockout. The NC TLC Trust is interested in anyone who might want to put together a team for the It’s A Knockout competition. Please get in touch with Judy Webb at firstname.lastname@example.org or on her mobile at 07593581127 if you or your company is interested in this worthwhile cause. Part of the proceeds from this event will be coming directly to the NC TLC Trust.
The NC TLC Trust will also be participating in the London Prudential 500 this year on Saturday, 3rd August 2019, with the incredible Team Daisy once again peddling their way through London for children’s cancer. Keep an eye out on our website and on social media for details.
